Noise from neighbors is a common source of disturbance and quite often presents a noise problem. It's likely that you or your neighbors are tormented with barking dogs, loud music, TV turned up too loud, shouting, banging doors and DIY activities, either inside the building or outside. Property built before the 90's often had little or no sound proofing, so if you happen to live in this type of construction, then it's down to you to soundproof so you can make the noise you want (within reason) or don't have to hear to undesirable noise from outside your home.
